Not YOUR Typical Tourist Trip

Join us on a Northern Thailand SEVA adventure starting from the magnificent international destination of Chiang Mai. We also include an exciting excursion through Doi Saket, Wang Nuea, Chiang Rai, Lampang Province and the scenic view from Wat Phra That Doi Wao (Temple) high on a hill opposite the town of Tachilek in the Burmese hills of Myanmar.

Our itinerary includes Temples, City Markets, Rejuvenating 4 Star Accommodations, Wellness Retreat Experience, Direct Connection with Local People and heart warming SEVA Service Visits at the Elephant Nature Park Sanctuary, the Family Foundation Special Needs Center, Wang Nuea Disability Home, The Maharaj Hospital Rehab Department and the Chiang Mai Bandekdee Orphanage.

We also will enjoy a traditional local dinner at Noi's home in her beautiful thai village. You will meet the family and our neighbors and enjoy the best thai food, music and a day in the life in Chiang Mai.

Another highlight is when we participate in the ancient tradition of feeding the monks and take the journey to Doi Suthep Golden Temple. This is the oldest and most revered temple of Chiang Mai and it is said that you have not been to Chiang Mai until you have been to Doi Suthep.

day 1 - Be Here Now - We begin at the Chala Luxury Hotel. Once you arrive at Chiang Mai International Airport, your hotel shuttle will welcome you and assist with your bags. Plan to be settled in your room and schedule a massage before we meet for dinner at 6 PM. The fun part of our adventure continues when we gather and meet each other in person.

day 2 - Self-Care Day: sleep-in and relax your first morning, enjoy a late breakfast and rejuvenate after a long trip. Take a walk, yoga class or enjoy the fitness center or schedule a body treatment at the spa.

Then we are taking you to lunch at the ECO-Agricultural Hill Tribes Village, Baan Tong Luang. And experience our first SEVA PROJECT. The Hill Tribal Village School children are looking forward to meeting you so embrace yourself for a fun and heartwarming reception.

We also meet the founders of the orphanage, Manop and Tiwapon, who are true angels and were raised in an orphanage themselves.

Moving our journey north, we settle into the Horizon Village Resort & Botanical Garden in Doi Saket.

day 4 - Retreat - Enjoy a morning walk or bike around the Horizon Village breathtaking botanical gardens. Then a magical visit to the stunning Doi Saket Temple and Buddhist School for Monks on the mountain.

Lunch at the Mala Dhara Kin Dee Organic Restaurant.

Relax and perhaps take in a thai massage or just soak your feet at the San Khamphaeng Mineral Hot Springs.

Please be advised that you should bring VERY COMFORTABLE walking shoes. Many of the excursions will give us a chance to do plenty of walking together. Being physically prepared to walk semi-long distances is important.

Four Star Accommodations

Rooms are comfortable, clean and beautiful. In Chiang Mai we have planned to be in the heart of the old city so it will be convenient and easy for you to take a walk and explore on your own.

Dress Attire

Summer casual will be appropriate for the entire tour. We have a few parties and nights out to get a little dressed up but in Chiang Mai, dressed up is summer casual with color.

Important Note: Although we dress casually please keep in mind that you may need a shawl or something with sleeves to enter Temples and Monasteries we will visit. You will not be allowed to enter if you have a sleeveless t-shirt or tank top of any kind. Shoulders and knees may need to be covered in some places like temples.

For the majority of the trip we recommend comfortable functional clothing, a warm layer. walking shoes or trainers or good walking sandals. Sunglasses, mosquito repellent and sun screen are a good idea when traveling.

Health & Fitness

Drinking plenty of purified bottled water keeps everyone healthy. We even use bottled water for brushing our teeth, you will be fine. Shots and vaccines are NOT required but ask your doctor or wellness practitioner for their recommendations. Thailand has wonderful doctors and hospitals if needed.

To fully enjoy the experience, you should be able to walk a few miles without challenge, climb stairs, etc.

Is there a Release of Liability form for this tour?

Please understand that we are NOT a travel company and you are agreeing to travel with Noi and I as your guide in Thailand being responsible for yourself. When you say YES and choose to join Noi and I you must sign a release of liability form for any health conditions that would arise, accident, and even a death. By saying YES, you hold harmless Karl Anthony and Kanlayanee (Noi) Brizendine and any member of Karl Anthony Music and Karl Anthony Enterprises.

Is there an Audio Video Release for this tour?

By saying YES you automatically give permission to Karl Anthony to use photos and videos taken for commercial and promotional use. All other participants of the tour need to ask for written consent before using photos and video for commercial and promotional use.

How much luggage should I bring?

Pack as light as you can. Leave space in your bags, as you will be coming home with souvenirs, clothing, shawls, jewelry, etc.

Small day pack (backpack / side bag): we recommend you invest in a small back-pack or side bag that you keep with you for any essential items like water, water proof jacket, camera.

Passport & Money pouch: we recommend you buy a passport and money pouch which you keep on you under your clothing. If your hotel room has a safe, we recommend you use it.

Thailand: Colorful and fragrant and forever ancient and new.

Art, philosophy and inspiration are part of the fabric and culture of Thailand. It is in the very air you breathe.
