COLLEEN FITZPATRICK

I have been traveling to India for the last 5 years and will be living in Jaipur with my husband during 2017.  When Karl and Yogi speak of the love and joy of being with the people and children of India, that is very real to me.  The magic and mystery of this beautiful and complex country has always intrigued me, so now my dreams are coming true.  I can only imagine the power of Karl’s music in uplifting everyone’s heart and the soul connection this creates.  The idea of being with a group focused on love and giving, along with spending this time with my sister Rosemary, was an opportunity I was determined not to miss.  Meeting and traveling with new friends – this trip is going to be amazing.

Thank you so much in advance for this experience.  I am looking forward to meeting everyone!

ROSEMARY JIRON

I have been a member of the Temecula Valley CSL for several years, and absolutely loved when Karl Anthony was the guest performer for Sunday service.  His energy and passion for life, the joy and meaning in his songs, and his ability to touch the congregation were incredibly uplifting and inspirational.  The stories about working with the kids who were hospitalized and his god children really resonated with me.  Every year, I read and heard about the Mantra Trip to India and  thought, “one of these days”.

The stars lined up in such a way that this year I absolutely had to say “yes”.  In December 2016, I retired after 20 years of work with Riverside County, Social Services, Children’s Division.  At the same time, my sister and her husband were planning their move to India.  I shared the opportunity with my sister, Colleen, and we both said “yes”.  I will also be spending some extra time with her and my brother-in-law after the tour.

Really a miracle and an opportunity of a lifetime.  I am so looking forward to this adventure.

See you all in India!

BRIAN & JANET BUCHIGNANI

Hello...

We live in San Jose CA with our two sons Ben(22) and Anthony(20) and just took a fabulous second honeymoon to Greece and Italy for our 25th anniversary! We met in a hospital lab where both of us worked as Clinical Lab Scientists. We perform the blood tests and read bacterial cultures. Brian just retired from our County hospital about 8 months ago.

We are very much into health and fitness, so exercise and eating healthy are a big part of our life. Brian enjoys golfing and fishing, and Janet loves hiking and dance. We both have been practicing yoga for several years and have been to a couple of kirtans. We have always wanted to do more service trips and love to travel so when we met Karl and Noi at a Food Revolution retreat we got excited about this trip to India! This will be a great spiritual experience and even though we are not great at singing, it the spirit that counts!

MARY HECKENLAIBLE

I was introduced to this possibility when Karl visited Unity in Ashland in September 2016. I have been intrigued by India ever since being a personally introduced to the culture by a colleague of mine who is from India. Certainly being with children is a huge draw, as well as more than just sightseeing. I also recently read The Journey Home by Radhanath Swami, which references locations on this Tour.

This Mantra India tour is my retirement gift to myself, having been most recently involved in our family businesses:  Dagoba Organic Chocolate until 2009 and then Big Tree Farms, Inc, 2009 - present  (http://bigtreefarms.com).

I am originally from Minneapolis MN, and have resided in Ashland OR since 2005.
Three grown children:  two living in Ashland OR, and one in Telluride CO.

Biking, hiking, and making angels in the snow, are some of my favorite activities.  I also enjoy dancing, especially Tango.

YOGI & BEEJAL PARMAR

Yogi gets an award for being one of the greatest Mom’s Ever!!

Its not only because she can pack a suitcase for a family of four in top record speed, or because she is always ready to take the family on the next adventure, or because she is the greatest Indian cook on the planet, or because she can keep a smile on her face even when an elephant is sneaking up on her.

Yogi spent much of her energy home schooling Shivani and Khushi while supporting Beejal with his business and running her own business Yogi Tours. She also speaks four languages fluently....English, Gujarati, Hindi and Swahili. She was born in Tanzania, raised in London and now live in the US.

Beejal also receives a special award for being an amazing dad. That comes straight from Shivnani & Khushani.

He is a business coach and consultant who travels the world sharing his inspiring story, teaching people how to discover the gifts of their past, unlock the secrets and potential of their personality, how to design a life plan based on their uniqueness, how to overcome failure by better mastering emotions, stress and anxiety, and how to create better faster results in their life.

Beejal was a man desperate to find answers to life’s toughest questions while enduring a period of personal hardship that seemed to have no end. Despite the setbacks, he remained a dedicated husband and father, and continued to follow his path through his life adventure.

In 2010, Beejal and his family, sold most of their things, packed 4 bags and started a 5-year global adventure. While traveling the world he helped build 3 businesses, empowered hundreds all over the world, all while homeschooling his two daughters, together with Yogi.

Beejal loves to create incredible training experiences for his clients that put the word fun back into learning, such as Musketeer Training and Jedi Path Training.
